Before her career in product management, Andrea worked in management consulting, helping Fortune 500 companies develop compensation strategies to attract, reward, and retain talent. Andrea holds an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration degree from Georgetown University.

Arianne Walker is the chief evangelist for Alexa Auto at Amazon, where she helps educate automakers and device makers about voice.   Prior to that, she was head of automotive industry strategy at Oracle Data Cloud where she helped automotive marketers discover and implement the best possible audience strategies for their marketing efforts.  Her automotive background began at JD Power, where she spent a dozen years providing direction on automotive marketing industry trends.  Before getting into the automotive space, she did research for colleges and universities to help support administrative planning and decision-making.  Arianne has a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and an MA and PhD in Higher Education and Organizational Change from UCLA.

Scott leads a series of innovative growth initiatives for the brand while ensuring all programs are guest-driven through insights and analytics. Scott oversees the guest insights, business analytics and development departments continuously strengthening the brand’s franchisee portfolio through market evolution.

Prior to joining Applebee’s in 2016, Scott was a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, leading strategy and operations projects across a variety of industries and topics. John Moon leads the GENIVI In-Vehicle Payments SIG where he brings OEMs, leading payments companies, automotive suppliers, and major merchants together to develop automotive payments standards. 

John is Chief Operating Officer at Connected Travel where he is responsible for leading new business growth and execution of strategic plans for the company. He works closely with Connected Travel’s partners and customers to align to goals and objectives. 

Before joining Connected Travel, John was Managing Director at Honda Innovations and led their Silicon Valley-based open innovation program, Honda Developer Studio. At Honda Developer Studio, he explored the integration of Honda vehicles and products with apps and services from startups to established partners. Prior to joining Honda he was involved in a number of technical fields including mobile software development with HTC, near field communications product development with Kovio, video game middleware with Scaleform, interactive advertising with kissd and credit card security with 5PEG SECURITY. John received his BS in Cognitive Science from University of California, Los Angeles.

Steve Bell is an accomplished strategy and technology analyst with Informa Tech Automotive  

Group. His team are focused on the development of the automotive market, landscape, ecosystem and value chain. His coverage at Wards Intelligence and TU-Automotive focuses on connectivity-based technology transformation  (4G, 5G, V2X, Satellite, Mobile Edge computing, AI, IoT, cybersecurity and blockchain) on vehicles, development and production and adjacent areas such as smart cities. 

Previously, he was a Senior Analyst with Heavy Reading and focused on IoT in the mobile network domain specifically the growth of 4G and 5G in two verticals: Industrial IoT and connected and autonomous vehicles. For 2 years he also served as analyst in residence at TU-Auto.com providing insight on the future of this emerging industry. 

Steve joined Heavy Reading in 2014 after an extensive executive career in industrial applications and then Telecoms with Motorola in Germany, the U.K., and the U.S. He is also an entrepreneur having founded two companies: one an analysis and advisory firm the other a digital city services platform focused on parking.

James Towle was appointed to New Business Models Director role at the start of 2019. James is responsible for the definition and go to market of new services, features and offerings that will enhance the customer ownership experience, whilst also delivering direct revenue into the business. This includes new connected customer offerings, including subscriptions and enhanced digital services, as well as electrification and mobility products. 

James has worked at Jaguar Land Rover for over 20 years and has held senior management positions in a number of areas of the business including Strategy, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing and Programme Management. 

In 2013, James was appointed to his first executive role in the position of Global Business Director responsible for Range Rover projects. He then became International Projects Director covering Jaguar Land Rover’s expansion projects globally. 

James was appointed as Global Product Strategy Director in 2016 where he was responsible for the definition of JLR’s Product Strategy and the planning of programmes in early phases of delivery, while retaining global responsibilities as we expanded our business.  

Born in Nottingham in 1977, James is married with two children and now lives in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. He has a Manufacturing Engineering Degree from the University of Warwick and a scholarship Masters at the University of Birmingham.

Mike Friedman is a Director with Mastercard Labs and the Managing Editor of Mastercard Signals.  He is responsible for developing opportunities supporting the convergence of digital and physical commerce including automotive and mobility related solutions.  Mike holds a masters in public policy analysis and undergraduate degrees in both economics and healthcare from University of Rochester.  He is a patented inventor, an amateur songwriter and a determined, though frustrated, golfer.

Maria Neve is a Manager for Mercury Associates where she is responsible for customized fleet management guidance to Mercury’s clients. She has over 20 years of experience with fleet management companies and OEMs in various sales and operations roles in the government fleet management industry. Most recently, she was the Government Sales Manager with Merchants Fleet where her role focused on positioning the company as a leading fleet management services provider for federal, state, and local governments across the U.S. She worked with fleets of all sizes and complexities to provide unique solutions for budgetary and operational challenges, while maintaining compliance with ethics and procurement regulations.  Prior to her time at Merchants, Maria served as Director of Government Services at Admiral Leasing and Manager at Donlen Government Services, where she had full operational and strategic responsibility for the divisionHer career began in the alternative fuels and transportation safety sectors as a marketing and policy consultant for automobile manufacturers and the U.S. Department of Energy.   

Maria now focuses on sharing her expertise in fleet management and financing, RFP analysis and creation, alternative fuels and emerging technologies, and vendor relations with Mercury’s clients. She is widely quoted in industry publications and has been a contributing author to Fleet Management Weekly and American City & County magazine, as well as a speaker at leading industry conferences and eventsMaria is also the current Secretary/Treasurer of NAFA Fleet Management Association and member of the Board of Directors, and helps to lead the organization’s government affairs efforts on Capitol Hill.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Stacy is an experienced analyst in Omdia’s display research team, covering small and medium displays. She focuses on automotive displays, smartphone displays, and wearable displays. As a Principal Analyst, she covers small and medium display shipments, supply chain, pricing, and business strategy analysis. She is the lead analyst of the automotive display intelligent service. 

Prior to her role, Stacy served as the manager of the market intelligence department of Delta Electronics Group and led the team to provide market insights to the senior management team. She was awarded the iSuppli Idol Award in 2008. Tony joined Visa’s Product Organization in 2018. His charter is to enable payments and facilitate commerce where the capability does not exist. This includes Connected Car, Home, Cities and Retail verticals. The responsibility extends to the collaboration with device manufacturers and ecosystem suppliers to enable secure and scalable payment experiences that are simple and easy to use which is critical for widespread adoption. These use cases leverage existing and emerging Visa products to enable the sending and receiving of payments from these devices. 

Prior to joining Visa, Tony worked at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for 25 years in various product development roles, such as Chief Engineer for the Jeep Wrangler and Liaison Engineering Manager at Mitsubishi Motors in Okazaki, Japan  

Tony holds aMBA from Wayne State University – DetroitBS in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University – Washington, D.CBA in Physics from Xavier University of Louisiana – New Orleans. He is married with two adult children.

Frank Weith is the Director of Connected and Mobility Services at Volkswagen Group of America and has been with VW for over 13 years.  He is also the President of Ventic LLC, a newly formed joint venture company between VW and Aeris.  As the business owner, he is responsible for defining strategies and implementing in-vehicle technologies, IT infrastructure and business partnerships needed to support the customer experience and business initiatives. His role also entails running the P&L, managing the North American Market requirements for services and features, and identifying future technologies and partnerships needed to support new business models and revenue opportunities.   

 

Throughout his 29 year career, he has also spent 11 years working in Germany for Siemens AG, BMW AG and founded a Technical Development Center for American Axle Europe.   His collective experience ranges from Management Consulting, Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering for Components and Vehicle Systems, Product Strategy, and Business Development.  He’s a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, which also included a foreign exchange program affiliated with the Technical University in Aachen, Germany.
