From October 2016 to January 2019, he was CEO of the car2go Group GmbH. He has been working at Daimler since 1998 and has gained comprehensive experience in the areas of sales, marketing and communications.

Born in Strasbourg in 1974, the Frenchman studied at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg and the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg. Since November 2014, the father of three children has been Head of Brand and Product Management at smart as well as a

Since joining Ford in 1992, Strader has held a number of information technology positions. He served as Ford’s director of Enterprise and Emerging IT, where he was responsible for a portfolio that included Innovation, Connected Vehicle, Connected Consumer, Autonomous Vehicle, Mobility Solutions, and Data Insight & Analytics.

Additionally, Strader served as the head of Ford’s Technology Services India centre in Chennai, India, where he oversaw application development, shared services and program delivery within the Asia Pacific region. He was also chief information officer for Volvo Car Corporation, with responsibility for overall IT operations, including infrastructure, operations, maintenance, new development, new ventures (divestitures and acquisitions) and associated financial and personnel activities.

As manager of In-Vehicle Systems, Strader launched the SYNC Service Delivery Network and all the IT infrastructure used to support the first two generations of the software platform.

Prior to joining Ford, Strader was the president of Applied Processing Systems, Inc. He also held software programming positions at other outside businesses.

An automotive industry veteran with over 30 years of experience at GM and other consulting and start-up companies, Bob recently served as CTO at both Karma and Qoros to lead all product development and advanced technology. At Karma, Kruse lead the engineering team that launched Karma’s award-winning Revero luxury electric vehicle in 2017, and the company’s newly announced 2020 Revero GT.

Bob’s career is largely shaped by 31-years at General Motors. There, he led the team that executed the Chevrolet Volt and the development of the largest battery testing facility in North America. As a senior GM executive, Bob developed vast experience with lean engineering and manufacturing techniques, leading teams that engineered some of the most successful vehicles in the company’s history. Kruse was also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the GM/University of Michigan Advanced Battery Coalition for Drivetrains, a partnership created to accelerate the design and testing of advanced batteries for electric vehicles.

Gilbert Castillo is the senior group manager of advanced vehicle strategy at Hyundai Motor America. Castillo led the successful introduction and launch of the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell Vehicle, the first production fuel cell vehicle sold in the United States.

Castillo joined Hyundai in 2012 from Honda R&D Americas, where he worked in the areas of vehicle research and design and strategic vehicle development. Prior to joining Honda, he worked for Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.

Castillo graduated from Stanford University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design Engineering.

He was head of Ford’s South America design studio from 2009-2012. Kaoud graduated from Arts Center College of Design in Pasadena, California with a Bachelor’s degree in transportation design.

Pearse Umlauf has been an integral part of MASOR for more than 22 years, currently as President & CEO, overseeing the business and day-to-day operations of more than 700 staff and 50+ annual events domestic and internationally. Having begun his off-roading career with Jeep Jamboree USA as a special events coordinator, Pearse’s experience with Camp Jeep events led to his leadership in their company and the growth and offerings.

Throughout his tenure with MASOR, Pearse has overseen the logistical coordination of the Rubicon Trail operations annually, moving 65,000 lbs of supplies via helicopter each season to set up complete camp accommodations. He oversaw the construction of the Quantico Marine Base Severe Off-Road Track, and vehicle testing on the Rubicon Trail aiding in product development for Jeep products for the past 13 years. Most notably in the past couple of years, Pearse led the MASOR team that spent 45-days in Brazil installing a permanent off-road test / demonstration course in South America.

In addition to the day-to-day operations, Pearse oversees the development of a worldwide database of trails around the world and traveled to some of the most remote off-roading areas in Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, Argentina, Chile, Peru and many parts of Europe, in addition to thousands of trails in North America. This extensive database has enabled MASOR to facilitate events for brand/owner loyalty, product launches with automotive media, corporate incentive trips and marketing, advertising, video and photography shoots.

Prior to joining Rivian, Vaughan was Creative Director for CGT, the world’s largest supplier of automotive interior surface materials. As Creative Director, Vaughan functioned as the organization’s chief futurist, head of industrial design, and head of marketing across all of CGT’s global business lines. In particular, he was responsible for the development of advanced smart-surface technologies for next generation user experiences.

Before joining CGT, he was at Visteon Corporation for 17 years, where he led a design team dedicated to turning consumer insights into next-generation interiors.

A graduate of Detroit’s College for Creative Studies, Vaughan is a lifelong car enthusiast. He has written six automobile-related books and serves on the Board of Directors of Equality Michigan, the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. Johns, and the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club.

Before joining Faurecia, he held various Strategy, Business Development and management positions for Thales, SNCF and Keolis. At Keolis, he oversaw his company’s expansion to the middle east and established the firm’s regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, with key joint ventures in the mobility sector. In 2014, Karim was also appointed Foreign Trade Advisor for France, providing mentorship and ground knowledge for companies willing to develop internationally.

Karim holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Université Paris Diderot, a Master of Science from Esirem and MBAs from London Business School and Columbia University in NYC. He serves as a board member for Faurecia Interior Systems in North America and as a member of Faurecia Group Leadership committee (Faurecia Group’s top 200 Leaders). Crystal Windham became the director of Cadillac Interior Design in January 2016. Since joining General Motors in 1994, her assignments have included multiple vehicle brands including special project work abroad.

She became the first African-American female director in GM Design’s history in 2008 and spearheaded several award-winning interiors, including the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu and 2014 Chevrolet Impala.

Windham encourages students to consider higher education and careers in art and design through GM Design’s You Make a Difference program. Her awards include Urban Wheel Designer of the Year, the Emerging Leader Award from the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Automotive News 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.

Joanne Leddy is an Engineering Group Manager in Program Management for the Infotainment and Displays organization at General Motors. She has responsibility for the infotainment strategy across the Cadillac brand and is the Program Manager for the Cadillac Escalade.  Joanne’s team has the additional responsibility for the execution and implementation of numerous other infotainment systems in the GM portfolio.

Previously, Joanne was the Program Manager for the Cadillac Design Studio.  In that role, she had responsibility for the development and release of all deliverables relating to both Interior and Exterior styling.  She also held the role of Cadillac Chief of Staff for Design Program Management supporting both Design Leadership and Cadillac Marketing with the management of the Cadillac portfolio.

Joanne arrived at General Motors in 1987 and has held various engineering and management positions.  The first 28 years of her career was spent at the Design Center.  Joanne’s experience includes: Design Facilities Project Manager, Design Studio Release Scheduling Manager, Business Planner/Lean Engineering Coordinator, Supervisor Business Manager/Planning, Program Manager for Lambda Studio, Program Manager for Hummer Studio, Program Manager for Cadillac Studio. In this role, Butler is responsible for Ford’s global integrated connectivity vision and strategy. He leads the development of a near-, mid- and long-term plan for implementation with the goals of delivering a best-in-class customer experience inside and outside of the vehicle.

Butler most recently was vice president, Cadillac Global Strategy for General Motors, where he led the development of the strategy for Cadillac’s global expansion. Butler began his 30-year career with GM, as an engineer, and went on to hold a variety of executive roles, including vice president, Global and OEM business for OnStar, GM’s telematics business, and chairman and managing director of General Motors Egypt.

He left GM in 2009 to become vice president, Marketing and Product Planning for INRIX, a vehicle traffic and data services start up. He returned to GM in 2010 as vice president of Cadillac Marketing.

Butler earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the then-General Motors Institute, now Kettering University. He also holds an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Dan has over 22 years of experience spanning the automotive, telecom, networking, and mobile business verticals. Prior to his current position, Dan was the Vice President and General Manager of MontaVista’s Automotive Business Unit (acquired by Mentor), responsible for P&L and worldwide execution of MontaVista’s automotive software strategy, sales, marketing, products, and services.

During this period, Dan served on the Board of Directors of the GENIVI Alliance and was responsible for the creation of the GENIVI Compliance Program, a group that he chaired for its first three years, which led to the release of the GENIVI Specification, a widely adopted standard in the automotive industry. While at MontaVista, Dan previously held the position of VP of Marketing and BD, where he was responsible for the development and execution of MontaVista’s global marketing strategy, which led to an acquisition by Cavium. Based in Silicon Valley, Dan has extensive startup experience. He was the Director of Product Management at Atrica (acquired by Nokia-Siemens Networks), a carrier Ethernet equipment provider startup.

Prior to Atrica, Dan was the Director of Architecture and Strategy at BlueLeaf Networks, a tunable laser optical networking startup (now Picarro). He also previously held senior management positions and engineering leadership positions at Cisco Systems, Newbridge Networks (acquired by Alcatel), and Nortel.
