Executive Director for Industrial Design, General Motors
As the executive director for industrial design, Gauci is responsible for supporting the visual expression of General Motors and its global brands. This includes brand tonality, User Experience product design, graphic design, experiential events, environments and architectural design, merchandise development, creative visualization and photography.
Her team is also responsible for the Design Archives and Special Collection – an important role as a way of preserving the company’s rich design heritage.
In addition, she heads up Global Color and Trim – where her team is responsible for researching and forecasting international trends and translating them into vehicle color, material and finishes – three to four years ahead of production. Gauci has held previous roles in color and trim which include – Director Global Color and Trim, Buick Color and Trim in North America and Holden Color and Trim in her native Australia.
During her career with GM, Gauci has worked on many high-profile projects, including the Cadillac Escala, Buick Avista and Aviner – which won the Eyes on design C&T award. She also led a team during a 2007-2008 assignment in Detroit that worked on the Cadillac Converj and Chevrolet Stingray concept cars, and the Chevrolet Volt.

Head of Fusion Studio & Jeep®, Passenger Car and UV Interior Design, FCA US LLC
Chris Benjamin was appointed Head of the Fusion Studio and Jeep®, Passenger Car and UV Interior Design in January 2017. In this position, Benjamin leads advance packaging and interior development programs while maintaining responsibility of the interior design direction for Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Fiat passenger cars and utility vehicles for FCA – North America.
Prior to his appointment, Benjamin served as the Head of Interior Design where he led the interior design development of the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and 2016 Chrysler 300.
Benjamin joined the company in 2013 from Volvo Car Corporation where he held a series of design positions with increasing responsibility since 2007. Significant elements of his professional and academic background include:
