The Automotive Inspire Awards category is an extension of our Automotive Inspire interview series, in which we showcase the inspirational stories of people working in the AutoTech industry. The Automotive Inspire brand is all about the people working in AutoTech – and the inspiration and innovation they provide to the rest of the industry. Through our Automotive Inspire awards, we’ll be recognising the contributions and impact of three special individuals at varying stages of their careers.

The Automotive Inspire Leader in Automotive Tech Award will recognize an individual who has made a sustained and significant contribution to the automotive technology industry over the period of 25 years or more by the entry eligibility deadline of December 31 2021. Nominated individuals should have demonstrably pushed the boundaries in their chosen field within automotive tech and will have contributed to positively driving change in the industry.
Who is eligible for this award?
Anyone who has worked in the automotive tech industry, whether for an OEM, a Tier 1, software or hardware supplier, government organization, industry body or anything in between, for 25 years or longer.
**Please note that the winner of this category will be pre-informed, and we will need referrals for video testimonials about the individual in question, to produce a highlights reel for our ceremony.**
Nominations must include the following criteria:
- A brief overview of the individual and their time in the industry

Any software supplier that is engaged primarily in the business of manufacturing and/or integrating automotive technology software products and/or services for consumer vehicles, with the purpose of providing said software products and/or services to Tier 1 and OEM partners.
Nominations must include the following criteria:
- Evidence of successful development and integration of automotive software products and/or services into vehicles that are currently being sold to the consumer. Please include 1-3 examples of vehicles that are currently in the market that include your product/service, with examples of how these features are best in class/unique.
- Commitment to technological innovation: Please provide examples of how your company is evolving to encourage new levels of technological achievement and adoption. Please include examples of where your company is setting and/or exceeding targets, and metrics for measuring success.

The Start Up of the Year Award will recognise any start up globally who has had a stellar year from between January 1 2021 and December 31 2021, specifically relating to the development of their business and product/solution. Who is eligible for this award?
Companies must be early stage or mid-stage Start Ups, defined as:
- Early Stage: Under 20 employees, under $5 million funding, established for under 4 years.
- Mid-Stage: Under 30 employees, under $10 million funding, established for under 6 years.
Nominations must include the following criteria:
- Evidence of successful development of automotive products and/or services. Please include 1-3 examples of ways that your product/service would be/is utilized vehicles, with examples of how these features are best in class/unique.
- Commitment to technological innovation. Please provide examples of how your company is evolving to encourage new levels of technological achievement and adoption. Please include examples of where your company is setting and/or exceeding targets, and metrics for measuring success.
- Evidence of industry contribution (optional). Please provide examples of how your company is contributing to the wider automotive technology industry through cross-industry projects, initiatives, and partnerships

The Collaborative Partnership of the Year Award will recognize two or more companies who have undertaken a meaningful, non-commercial partnership with the objective of advancing the development and/or adoption of automotive technology between January 1 2021 and December 31 2021. Please note that entries can only reference partnerships that are in progress, concluded or launched between January 1 2021 and December 31 2021.
Who is eligible for this award?
Any group of two or more automotive companies who are in a non-commercial partnership with the objective of advancing the development and/or adoption of automotive technology. Please note that entries can only reference things that are in progress or concluded between January 1 2021 and December 31 2021.
Nominations must include the following criteria:
- An overview of the partnership. What has the partnership been formed to achieve? What problem(s) in the industry will it aim to solve? Please include detail regarding each company involved, with one approved contact per company, for verification purposes.
- Evidence of 1-3 objectives of the partnership, and how success is measured, including timelines for said achievements.
- Evidence of industry contribution: please provide examples of how your partnership is contributing to the wider automotive industry.
- 1 Testimonial from a senior figure at each company involved regarding the value of the partnership.
The Automotive Tech Company of the Year Award will recognize any Automotive Technology company globally who had a stellar year between January 1st 2021 and December 31st 2021. The Automotive Tech Company of the Year will have contributed to the Automotive Tech industry beyond just the financial and commercial – they will be innovating in Auto Tech while also contributing to talent development, diversity, and community within AutoTech. Please note that entries can only reference products / services / projects / contributions that are in progress, concluded or launched in the market between January 1st 2021 and December 31st 2021.
Who is eligible for this award?
Any organization that is engaged primarily with the Automotive Technology industry, providing products and/or services to Automotive partners and/or consumers.
Nominations must include the following criteria:
- Evidence of successful development and integration of automotive products and/or services into vehicles that are currently being sold to the consumer.
